Connect an agent

daybooked is an MCP server at https://daybooked.io/api/mcp over Streamable HTTP. Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients connect with an API key in the Authorization header; claude.ai and ChatGPT add it as a custom connector and sign in to daybooked with OAuth, no key needed. Every API operation is a tool.

Plain text

Claude Code

One command. Swap in a key from Dashboard → Developers.

terminal
claude mcp add --transport http daybooked https://daybooked.io/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer daybooked_live_…"

Cursor

One file. Other MCP clients take the same JSON.

.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "daybooked": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://daybooked.io/api/mcp",

    }
  }
}

claude.ai

A custom connector with OAuth sign-in: no key to paste.

  2. Paste the MCP URL and click Add. If asked how Claude identifies itself, choose Register automatically.
  3. Click Connect, sign in to daybooked and choose Allow.

Allow lets the app act for your organization, like an API key.

URLhttps://daybooked.io/api/mcp
  1. In ChatGPT's settings, turn on Developer mode.
  2. Create an app for a remote MCP server: paste the MCP URL and choose OAuth.

Tools

Every API operation is an MCP tool: 74 tools, named like the operation with an underscore, such as bookings_create. Reads are marked read-only; deletes and cancels, destructive.

Booking for a guest

An assistant booking on a guest's behalf needs no key: each business has its own MCP server, which holds a place for the guest, who confirms it from an email.

URLhttps://daybooked.io/api/mcp/book/<slug>
offerings_listwhat the business offers, with the questions to ask the guest
availability_getan offering's times with room, a month at most
bookings_holdholds a place under the guest's name and email, with an idempotency_key; the guest gets an email to confirm it, or pay, before the hold runs out
bookings_statuswhere a hold stands, by its booking_id and the guest's email

It can't confirm, cancel, move or read bookings. A business can switch it off in Settings → Booking page; its llms.txt names its URL.
